Terms & Conditions of Service.

It’s boring, but it’s necessary.

Have a read through the terms and conditions of service. We’ll provide you with a copy as part of your final confirmations pack before the event, but just be aware that paying a deposit and confirming a date with us constitutes acceptance of our terms.

If you’d like any clarification or have any concerns or questions, give us a shout. We’re happy to help.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Tong Masters Event Catering (“Tong Masters”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By confirming a booking, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to the following terms.

1. Booking & Deposit

1.1 A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit has been received by Tong Masters.

1.2 The deposit secures your event date and covers advance planning, staffing, and preparation costs.

1.3 The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking and is deducted from the final invoice.

2. Deposit Policy

2.1 All deposits are non-refundable.

2.2 Date changes are permitted up to one month prior to the event date, subject to availability.

2.3 Any rescheduled date must:

  • Be within 12 months of the original event date

  • Be available at the time of the request

2.4 If a suitable alternative date is not available, the original booking will be treated as cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

3. Final Payment

3.1 The full remaining balance of the agreed quotation is due no later than one month prior to the event date.

3.2 Failure to make final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking, with the deposit retained.

3.3 Tong Masters reserves the right not to attend or provide services where full payment has not been received in advance.

4. Pricing & Quotations

4.1 All prices provided are based on the details supplied at the time of quotation.

4.2 Final pricing may vary based on:

  • Guest numbers

  • Menu selections

  • Event location

  • Seasonal or date-based adjustments

4.3 Any agreed changes will be clearly outlined in your final quotation prior to confirmation.

5. Guest Numbers

5.1 Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than one month prior to the event.

5.2 Increases in guest numbers after this date may be accommodated at our discretion and may result in additional charges.

5.3 Reductions in guest numbers after final confirmation may not result in a price reduction.

6. Event Timings

6.1 Event timings, including service start times, are agreed in advance to allow for proper planning and preparation.

6.2 Tong Masters understands that live events may not always run exactly to schedule, and reasonable flexibility will be accommodated where possible.

6.3 However, significant delays or changes to agreed timings on the day of the event may:

  • Affect the quality, presentation, or temperature of food

  • Require adjustments to service style or menu execution

  • Limit the ability to deliver the event exactly as originally planned

6.4 Tong Masters cannot be held responsible for any impact on food quality or service resulting from delays, changes, or interruptions outside of our control.

7. Cancellation

7.1 All cancellations must be made in writing.

7.2 Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

7.3 Where cancellation occurs after final payment has been made, refunds (if any) will be at the sole discretion of Tong Masters, taking into account costs already incurred.

8. Force Majeure

8.1 Tong Masters shall not be held liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, fire, flood, illness, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.

8.2 In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the event where possible.

9. Staff Welfare & Behaviour

9.1 Tong Masters operates in social environments where alcohol may be present. We require that all clients and guests treat our staff, equipment, and property with respect at all times.

9.2 Tong Masters reserves the absolute right to withdraw services immediately from any event where:

  • Any member of our team is subjected to abuse, harassment, intimidation, or threatening behaviour

  • Our equipment or property is damaged, interfered with, or used without permission

  • The working environment is deemed unsafe for our staff for any reason

9.3 In the event that services are withdrawn due to unacceptable behaviour, no refunds will be issued, including deposits or any payments already made.

9.4 The client is responsible for the conduct of their guests and for ensuring a safe and respectful working environment throughout the event.

10. General

10.1 Tong Masters reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions to menu items where necessary due to availability, without compromising overall quality.

10.2 All equipment provided by Tong Masters remains our property at all times.

10.3 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
